I could not stay in the Light,
for it's ray is too bright that it blinds me
I could not stay in the Dark,
for the absence of light deprived me of my sight

O Wind, lessen thy rage!
lest I would be taken away, flown to some foreign land,
show kindness, and bless me with your soft breeze,
on a warm sunny day, on a meadow where I stay

Mighty sea, calm your storm!
grant me passage through your madness,
carry me between continents with your kind waves,
and let me continue my journey with peace of mind

Let me walk the path of life in peace,
for I am weary, and in need of guidance,
O Lord, show me the way...
